00WHAT YOU JOINED

Legitimate Remnants is the Legitimate Family's dedicated warring faction - one of the oldest faction shells in Torn, re-forged to fight. Crysi leads it, and proven heavy hitters from the flagship - oraN and others - have crossed over to anchor the line. A faction that wars constantly trains constantly, which is where you come in: the mission is to take new players and make them war-ready, fast. The Family's flagship, Legitimate Business, stands behind it with money, expertise, and its full war doctrine - but Remnants is its own faction, fights its own wars, and nobody is ever forced to transfer anywhere. If you build here and stay here, that is a win.

One thing to understand early: the standards here are stricter than the flagship's. That is deliberate. Every "somebody should have told me this on day one" lesson the veterans ever learned is policy here. This guide is the most important advice we have to give.

01THE NON-NEGOTIABLES

1 · BE IN BOTH DISCORDS

Two doors, walk through both: the Legitimate Remnants Discord (your faction's war room - join this first) and the Legitimate Family Discord (the whole network). This is where the game actually gets good - advice on tap, veterans who answer, people worth knowing. It's also where the plan lives, and in Torn the situation can flip in an hour. Orders, targets, and strategy move at Discord speed; players who lose the plot are the ones who can't last here.

1a · REGISTER YOUR API KEY

Once you're in the Discord, you will register a Torn API key with NEXUS. This is how the grid works for you: up-to-the-second, personalized war intel - your targets, your fair-fight math, your war progress - tracked live and served to you, not to a spreadsheet you'll never open. Setup instructions are coming - watch the Discord for the announcement.

2 · HIT LEVEL 15

The most important milestone in your Torn career. Level 15 unlocks flying - travel, foreign stock, flower and plushie runs, real income. Everything below is the path there. NEXUS tracks every recruit's progress on the Recruit Dossier.

3 · GET DONATOR STATUS

Donator status is a bigger tank AND a faster pump: max energy goes from 100 to 150, and regen speeds up from 5 energy per 15 minutes to 5 per 10. That works out to 720 energy a day instead of 480, which compounds into every gym session and every attack you will ever make. If you can spare $5/month, it is the single best-value purchase in the game. Can't spend real money? No problem: once you unlock flying, a couple of weeks of flower/plushie runs will fund donator packs off the in-game market fairly easily, and keep funding them.

4 · SHOW REGULAR GROWTH

Level going up. Respect generated. Networth climbing. Communication happening. Trajectory beats checklists - we care that the line points up.

5 · ALWAYS BE IN AN OC

Organized Crimes are faction income and your income. One caveat up front: recruit status blocks OCs for your first 72 hours, so don't panic when you can't join one on day one. After 72 hours, your recruit status is finished, and you should aim to always be slotted in one.

Seeing red or low percentages on every role? Join anyway. At this stage the goal is exploration: your role percentages grow with use, the occasional score still pays, and concerted effort over time is exactly what unlocks the bigger crimes and better cuts. Fair warning: OCs are a complicated system underneath, with different weights for every role, and mastering all of that is overkill until your crime skill is much higher. For now just learn the mechanics and aim for low-level scores where your odds of success are highest. OC newsletters with the deeper strategy are coming; build the habit first.

02THE FLIGHT PATH - GETTING TO LEVEL 15

1

Rent a Mansion. Immediately.

Property sets your maximum happy, and happy multiplies every gym session. Training from a Trailer is setting energy on fire. No money? Ask in Discord. The Family funds recruit Mansions. No shame - that is what the treasury is for.

2

Train to ~1,000 total battle stats.

Gym until your stats total around 1,000. That is the floor you fight from.

3

Fill dead time with crimes.

Nerve stops regenerating the moment the bar is full - spend it so it never sits capped. Crimes build skill, cash, and your future OC value.

4

Start attacking. Use the target list.

Leveling comes from winning fights: oran.pw/baldrstargets/ serves targets matched to you.

5

Once you're leveling - ALL energy into attacks.

Counterintuitive but critical: stop gym training while you climb. Raising battle stats changes your Fair Fight multiplier and can lower the respect your current targets pay. Attack, level, repeat.

6

Level 15. Wheels up.

Book the first flight. Start flower/plushie runs. Donator status is the next target on the board.

03MORE HAPPY = FASTER TRAINING

Stuck? Broke? Confused? Ask in Discord. Mansion money, gear, leveling advice - the veterans answer. The only wrong move is going quiet.

04WHAT WE MEASURE

NEXUS watches signals, not screen time. Smart play on quiet days - gym, crimes, log off - is perfectly fine. The signals:

Your row on the Recruit Dossier updates on a schedule. It is public. Consider that motivation.

05WHAT GETS YOU REMOVED

Not screen time. Patterns: days without logging in, never in an OC, ignoring newsletters and comms, chronic flat trajectory. There is no warning conversation - clear patterns get cut. But life happens: anyone removed is welcome to reapply when they are ready to show up.

06WHERE THIS LEADS

Nobody is cargo and nobody gets shipped anywhere. But players who build here get seen - the Family runs five factions and a #nexus-transfer-request channel, usable anytime, even mid-war (roster-locked transfers queue; you land first when the lock lifts). If you are happy here and meeting this faction's standards, staying is the plan working.

07SIGN THE LOG

Here is the open secret about Torn: it is a text-based game. The mechanics are simple, but they hide an enormous amount of detail - fair fight math, happy resets, drug cooldowns, OC role weights, war scoring. No one person can hold all of it. The only way large-scale strategy works is a team where every member has carefully read the details of their own part and can be trusted to play it when the plan goes live. That is the whole edge. Factions that read, win. Factions that skim, lose to us.

And it is not just preparation. In a war, no two members are playing the same game: your stats, your build, and your playstyle make your optimal strategy and target selection highly individual, and the situation in front of you rarely matches anyone's script. The members we prize most are the ones who stay informed and think on their feet - because they did the reading beforehand, they can size up their own situation and pick the right move without waiting to be told.

Drop your Torn name and ID below. Your "Read the guide?" light on the Recruit Dossier flips from red to green the moment you do, and the rest of the team knows you're someone they can build a plan around. Green lights win wars together. It is us against the world, and the world doesn't read.
